Look at this taxi driver I met yesterday.

Me: (telling where to go) Holland Road, Allsworth Park.
Taxi Driver: Huh? Holland Village ah
Me: No no Holland Road, there's a building called Allsworth Park.
TD: At Holland Village?
Me: NO. There's a condo at HOLLAND ROAD, called ALLSWORTH PARK.
TD: Holland Park?
Me: NO. HOLLAND ROAD.
TD: Which part lah! Holland Road is very long.
Me: I don't know.
TD: WHAT? You don't know then how to go?
Me: I don't know how to go, THAT'S WHY I TOOK A CAB RIGHT?!

(He gets pissed with me and I get pissed with him; we were both shouting in the cab.)

TD: Aiyah you go find that place in the street directory lah!

(He gives me street directory, so I flip to the index of housing estates to look for "Allsworth Park")

TD: You know how to use street directory or not? First you must flip to the front part and look for the road name then you look at what number blah blah...

(Here he gives me a lecture on HOW TO USE A STREET DIRECTORY. WHAT AM I, A PRIMARY SCHOOL KID?! SO, before that wonderful driver finishes with his street directory usage lecture, I find the location and passes it to him, much to his surprise.)

Me: (holds out the directory) Na. Allsworth Park is right at the top of the map.
TD: HUH?! So fast find already ah!
Me: -.-

And then the trip continues, with the driver driving to Holland Road not by a short way, but instead a *&%$#$^ long way. The trip to Holland Road cost me $16 while the return trip (with a much better taxi driver) cost me only $13. What a nice person, no?
